This year’s viticultural year was not an easy one, given the harsh and capricious weather. Nevertheless, the harvest was optimal, and against all expectations, we’re delighted with the first tastings.
Before becoming an effervescent wine, champagne is a wine without bubbles, known as vin clair. Once fermentation is complete, they are tasted to assess their potential in terms of aroma, quality and ageing. This is one of the first stages in the champagne-making process, when the future of each cuvée takes shape. Our cellar master tells us that tastings of wines from the 2024 harvest have “Optimum freshness and tension, revealing lovely aromas of fresh fruit”.
A promising foretaste!
